  • Aufgerufene URL / angefragter Pfad, HTTP-Statuscode
  • Referrer-URL

5.2 Eingebettete YouTube-Videos

Auf einzelnen Seiten (u. a.

§ 6 Bestellungen in unserem Online-Shop (WooCommerce)

6.1 Verarbeitete Daten

  • Name, E-Mail-Adresse, Rechnungsanschrift
  • Bestellte Artikel, Bestellwert, Zahlungsart

B. Name, Anschrift, E-Mail-Adresse, Bestellnummer) an PayPal weiter.

Ergänzender Hinweis: Freiwillige Unterstützung über PayPal.me

Weitere Informationen: https://cloud.ionos.de/terms-gtc/datenschutzerklaerung/

§ 10 Google Site Kit

This English version is a translation of the German-language Privacy Policy (Datenschutzerklärung) provided for the convenience of English-speaking visitors. In case of any discrepancy or ambiguity, the German version shall prevail, as it is the legally authoritative text under German and EU law.

§ 1 Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website, within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws, is:

Yannick Wittmann

Heiligendammer Str. 17a

14199 Berlin, Germany

VAT ID: DE 345823976

§ 2 General Information on Data Processing

2.1 Scope of processing of personal data

We process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and our content and services. Processing of our users‘ personal data regularly takes place only with the user’s consent or on the basis of another legal permission.

2.2 Legal basis for processing

Where we obtain the consent of the data subject for processing operations involving personal data, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis. Where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR serves as the legal basis. Where processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation (e.g. tax and commercial record-keeping obligations), Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR serves as the legal basis. Where processing is necessary to protect our legitimate interests or those of a third party and the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not override those interests, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR serves as the legal basis.

2.3 Erasure of data and storage period

The data subject’s personal data will be erased or restricted as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, unless a statutory retention obligation prevents erasure.

§ 3 Your Rights as a Data Subject

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Right to withdraw consent given, with future effect (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

To exercise these rights, an informal message to info@yannickwittmann.de is sufficient.

§ 4 Provision of the Website and Creation of Log Files (Hosting)

This website is hosted by netcup GmbH (Daimlerstraße 25, 76185 Karlsruhe, Germany). Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects the following data:

  • IP address of the accessing device
  • Date and time of access
  • Requested URL / path and HTTP status code
  • Referrer URL
  • Browser type and operating system used (user agent)

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the functionality and security of our website). Log files are stored by netcup for a maximum of 14 days by default and are then automatically deleted.

§ 5 Cookies and Embedded Content (YouTube)

5.1 Technically necessary cookies

This website uses technically necessary cookies required to operate the online shop, in particular WooCommerce session and shopping-cart cookies, as well as cookies used internally to attribute orders to their traffic source (WooCommerce Order Attribution, not shared with third parties). These cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications-Digital-Services-Data-Protection Act). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Fonts (Google Fonts) are served locally from our own server; no connection to Google servers is made to load fonts.

5.2 Embedded YouTube videos

On certain pages (including „Composer“, the homepage, and occasionally in product descriptions), we embed videos provided by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use a so-called two-click solution: instead of the video, only a thumbnail preview image is initially displayed. A connection to YouTube/Google servers — and therefore the transmission of your IP address and technical device information — only takes place once you actively click the thumbnail to start the video. The legal basis for the subsequent data transfer is your implied consent given by that active click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Note on implementation status: this two-click solution is active for the large majority of embedded videos. For a small number of videos, correct functioning is currently still being verified and, where necessary, corrected; until this is fully confirmed, automatic loading may in isolated cases still occur.

Further information on data processing by Google/YouTube: https://policies.google.com/privacy

§ 6 Orders in our Online Shop (WooCommerce)

Our online shop offers digital products (sheet music / choral arrangements as PDF files) for purchase. Registration or creation of a customer account is not possible or required — every order is placed as a guest order.

6.1 Data processed

  • Name, email address, billing address
  • Items ordered, order value, payment method
  • Payment data (in connection with payment processing via PayPal, see § 7)
  • IP address and time of the order

6.2 Purpose and legal basis

Processing takes place for the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Where a commercial or tax-related retention obligation applies, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR additionally applies.

6.3 Storage period

We retain invoices and other accounting records for 8 years pursuant to Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code (AO) and Section 257 of the German Commercial Code (HGB), calculated from the end of the calendar year in which the invoice was issued (this period was shortened from 10 to 8 years as of 1 January 2025 by the Fourth Bureaucracy Relief Act).

6.4 Digital delivery

As our products are delivered exclusively in digital form, your email address is strictly necessary in order to send the download link.

6.5 No use for advertising

Data collected in connection with an order is not used for advertising purposes and is not disclosed to third parties for their own purposes.

§ 7 Payment Processing via PayPal

As a payment service provider, we use PayPal, operated by PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. If you select PayPal as your payment method, we transmit the data required to process the payment (e.g. name, address, email address, order number) to PayPal. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

The PayPal payment option is technically loaded already when the checkout page is opened, which is necessary to display the payment option. Further information: https://www.paypal.com/en/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full

Additional notice: Voluntary support via PayPal.me
On the product overview pages of our shop, we also provide a link to our PayPal.me profile, through which visitors can voluntarily support our work financially, without receiving anything in return. This is a plain hyperlink; visiting our website does not transmit any data to PayPal. Only if you actively click the link do you leave our website and reach PayPal’s site, where personal data about you may be processed – this is then governed by PayPal’s own privacy policy (see above). The legal basis for providing the link is our legitimate interest in financing our work (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); for the subsequent processing by PayPal, your active click serves as implied consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

§ 8 Contact and Email Communication

For sending order confirmations, invoices and other email communication, we use the WP Mail SMTP plugin via our own email server hosted at netcup (mxe86f.netcup.net); email is not routed through external third-party providers.

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide for the purpose of handling your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

§ 9 Data Backups

To protect against data loss, we create regular backups of our website (UpdraftPlus plugin), which may also include order and customer data. Backups are stored via an S3-compatible object storage service provided by IONOS Cloud GmbH, Elgendorfer Str. 57 in 56410 Montabaur. Storage takes place on servers located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in protecting against data loss). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider. As storage takes place exclusively on servers within the European Union, no transfer of personal data to a third country occurs.

Further information: https://cloud.ionos.de/terms-gtc/terms-enterprise-cloud/enterprise-terms/

§ 10 Google Site Kit

We use the „Site Kit by Google“ plugin. Currently, only the following services are connected:

  • Google Search Console – analysis of visibility in Google Search
  • PageSpeed Insights – analysis of page loading speed

Both services evaluate only aggregated or server-side data; no personal visitor data is collected on the frontend. Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager are not integrated. Responsible party: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

§ 11 Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those stated in this privacy policy. Disclosure only occurs if you have given consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), it is necessary to assert legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), there is a legal obligation to do so (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), or it is necessary for the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, in particular disclosure to PayPal per § 7).

§ 13 Data Security

We use the common TLS/SSL encryption protocol while you visit our website, recognisable by „https://“ in the browser’s address bar. We also apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction or unauthorised access.

§ 14 Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR. The competent authority for us is:

Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information

Friedrichstr. 219, 10969 Berlin, Germany

§ 15 Currency and Amendment of this Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is dated 07. August 2026. Further development of our website, or changes in legal or regulatory requirements, may make it necessary to amend this privacy policy. The current version can always be accessed on this page.
